Scott Chamberlin is a professor of mathematics education at the University of Wyoming. He earned his Ph. D. at Purdue University in Educational Psychology with an emphasis in Mathematics Education and Gifted Education under the direction of Drs. Sidney Moon and Richard Lesh. His initial research focus pertained to affect during mathematical modeling (problem solving) and as his career evolved, he began to develop an interest in creativity in mathematical modeling. As he works with pre-service and in-service teachers, he invests careful attention in carefully explaining the relationship between theory and practice.
